Kamyar Vazir

Born in Tehran, Iran, Kamyar Vazir is a director, producer, and writer who earned his degree in Film and Media Studies from Columbia University, with additional focus in business, management, and sociology.

His work is shaped by symbolism, absurdity, surrealism, myth, and comedy, often exploring the lived experiences of real people through visually distinctive and emotionally grounded storytelling. Across his creative work, Vazir is interested in amplifying underrepresented voices and stories from around the world.

He continues to develop new film and media projects for future release while building a career across directing, producing, and writing.
