Kiana Tajammol

Kiana Tajammol is an Iranian actress, director, and visual artist. She graduated in New Art Technologies at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.

Kiana started her acting career in the underground theatre nights in Tehran. In 2008, due to the pressure of censorship in Iran, Kiana, along with some students of the Art University of Tehran, organized underground theatre nights. Their projects were stopped after the Green Movement in 2009, and she relocated to Italy.

Kiana worked as the main female actress in the Iranian movie A Dragon Arrives! by Mani Haghighi, which was selected for the main competition in Berlinale 2016, and also the Italian movie The Oracle, directed by Valerio Rocco Orlando, for Matera 2019, European Capital of Culture.

In 2020 Kiana then appeared as the lead actress and worked as an assistant producer in Do you know anything about Omid?, directed by Keywan Karimi. The film was selected for La Fabrique Cinema at the Cannes film festival.
