Kristina Rushiti
Director, Screenwriter
Kristina Rushiti is a film director and screenwriter from Albania. She graduated from the University of Arts in Tirana, where she studied Film and Television Directing and Education. To further develop her screenwriting skills, she completed an intensive professional training in
Scriptwriting, Dramatic Structure, and Film Dialogue, certified by the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA), France.
She began her career as a director and screenwriter with her short film Anna, which has been screened at several national and international film festivals and received multiple awards. She later directed the short film Tea & Kejsi, as well as the documentaries Silent Screen, Saimir Kumbaro (Documentary Portrait), and most recently Beyond the Strait. She is currently developing her next film project.
Alongside her work as a director, Kristina has worked as an Assistant Director on numerous feature films and television productions, including The Planting of Trees, An Untold Story, Balkan Squad, Shkrepe, Terezita, Das Meer ist der Himmel, Luna Park, The Fine Line, Troubleshooters, Man of the House, Consequences of Freedom, and the TV series HOT and I Delitti del BarLume, among others.
She has also served as Production Manager on the feature film Blood Money and has produced a
variety of commercial and advertising projects. In addition, she has appeared as an actress in
three films (two short films and one feature film) in supporting roles.
Since 2025, Kristina has been a Film Selector for Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF), a
role she continues to hold.
