Marta Voeva
Director, Screenwriter, Assistant Director
Marta Voeva is a young director and screenwriter from Sofia, Bulgaria whose creative journey is woven into a passion for visual storytelling. After graduating high school, she followed her instincts and enrolled at New Bulgarian University to study cinema and explore her passion for art and creativity.
From an early age, Marta has been captivated by art and its ability to transform and reimagine itself. This deep curiosity led her to directing, where she is still discovering her artistic style and voice through diverse projects.
Her first short fiction film Comfort Food was selected for the Lift Off Global Sessions festival. This was followed by her documentary short film Sustain Ability, in which she explores the topic of recycling and sustainable way of life. The project was selected and screened at the Frome International Film Festival and Sofia Short Fest. Both projects, created during her time at the university, are a testament to her artistic vision and commitment to meaningful cinema. In the meantime she has also directed music videos and worked on many projects as an Assistant Director.
